Recipe: Skin Saver Juice

If your skin, nails and hair are lacking in strength and shine, this is the juice for you!

Cucumber and celery are natural diuretics helping to reduce fluid retention (read as “lose that bloated feeling” girls!), helps to reduce blood pressure and calm the nervous system. Watercress also helps with fluid retention, cleanses the liver and helps kidney function. Pears contain levulose which is a fruit sugar more easily tolerated by those with diabetes so get juicing!

Skin Saver


  • Quarter cucumber
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 2 pears
  • Handful of watercress

Hi Jana

If your skin is particularly congested or dull then I would recommend at least 4 times a week along with a minimum of 2 litres of filtered water every day. Eating lots of dark green foods such as lettuce, kale, broccoli and veg will help as they are very alkalising for the entire body.
