If someone had have told me 8 months ago I’d be drinking cabbage juice, I would have thought they were crazy! But they’d have been right! Well, it’s not strictly true as I don’t drink cabbage juice straight as that would be crazy!
The truth is, some of the things that are good for us aren’t always as palatable as we would like them to be. So we mix them with other sweeter juicier foods that make them taste better!
A great way to get more greens is to juice them and if you’re trying to get your kids to drink them, mix them with some apple, maybe some beetroot and they will never know! Sneaky!
- 1 large beetroot
- 2 cabbage leaves
- 1 apple
- 1/2 lime, peeled
- 1 stick celery
Juicing Tip: Once you have juiced all your fruits/veggies, pour about 50ml filtered water through the juicer. This washes out the inside of the juicer helping to push any leftover juice through the machine AND gives you just that little bit more.
