RECIPE: Food Journal

by Polly N on February 4, 2011

I get asked a lot what I eat everyday so I thought it might be useful to give those of you wishing to transition to a more alkaline plant-based diet a run-down of my daily intake.

So today I was at home and visited in the afternoon by my gorgeous friend Lucy and her baby Amelia so I was flexible as to what I ate when without having to think too much about it.

On waking: 2 pints of water with lemon

Green juice: celery, broccoli, cucumber, lemon

Chia seeds with almond milk, blueberries, goji berries, pumpkin seeds, bee pollen

Large salad of rocket, spinach, watercress, avocado, cucumber and my Hemp Dressing

Green juice: celery, apple, courgette, lime

A piece of Chocolate Caramel Mousse Cake

Green smoothie: pear, apple, 2 large handfuls of spinach, tsp E3 Live, tsp Camu Camu, tsp hemp protein powder, tsp kelp powder, tsp chlorella, apricot kernels

2 mouthfuls of Pad Thai with kelp noodles.

So today I spent about 10 minutes, (15 minutes max) in my kitchen for the preparation of all of the above.

Myth: raw food is time-consuming – BUSTED!
