Lusciously Raw Review

by Polly N on August 12, 2011

So, one of the perks of having a blog is that I get sent delicious foods to try so I can tell you about them! And today’s review is of some yummy snacks from Lusciously Raw.

Lusciously Raw is run by Sarah Duncan who created lusciously raw to help people have access to nutritionally formulated products that are about making healthy, sustainable choices. I agree with Sarah’s philosophy that people need to be aware of how to make healthy and humane choices by understanding what’s in their food, how it’s made and where it comes from.

“Every product we make is made by hand every step of the way and packed with a little bit of love. ” Lusciously Raw

First up, my favourite, Breakfast Cookies made with superfoods such as nuts, hemp seeds, flaxseeds and maca. I loved that they are really chewy, satiating, moorish and full of plenty of essential fatty acids. They are great to carry with you on the go and tuck into when you need a little something to keep you going.

I love the fact that all Lusciously Raw products are made lovingly by hand as Sarah feels that “using machines takes the product further away from the foods natural state and it’s just more loving and in touch with nature.” LOVE THAT!

Next up is the classic Oatmeal and Raisin cookie which is crumbly in texture and very tasty. If you fancy treating yourself to some lovingly homemade biscuits then I wholeheartedly recommend Lusciously Raw as they were seriously delicious. I think what I love about raw food the most is that foods like this allow you to drop that “guilt factor” which so often comes with eating conventional biscuits and snacks. I’m not saying these should replace beautiful greens as we all know that greens are the foundation of a heathy diet but by tucking into snacks like the above rather than a milk & sugar filled chocolate bar is SO much better!!

Happy snacking
