Mothers Day Everyday

by polly on May 1, 2012

I know most people think that their Mum is the best, but I really really think that mine rocks! She would literally do anything for me and does so most days. Over the 10 years that I moved from Acton to Highgate to Bedford to Clapham to Peckham (yes I was desperate!), to Battersea to Chiswick with a few stops in Cambridge, Mum has always been there to help lug my stuff and help me move. (One year she sliced her finger on my mirror which resulted in a trip to A&E and she was still smiling! Sorry Mum!) And that’s not all. All my friends tell me how much they love both her and my Dad which makes me feel very lucky indeed! I could go on but I’ll probably just make you jealous! I only hope that when I become a Mum I will be as generous and loving as her.

Rather than only do or buy something nice for your Mum on a day that society tells us we should, I wanted to honour my Mum just for the hell of it! Check out the gift ideas below and get orderding online – it’s so much easier (and drier with all this rain!) than trawling the shops! Plus giving makes you feel gooood!

Treat your Mum to a gorgeous chemical-free gift from one of my favourite online apothecaries LoveLula. Read about the nasties in your skincare and how damaging they are to your health.

1. LoveLula English Rose Gift Set

2. Neom Tranquility Organic Candle

3. Nail Girls Pink #6 Magenta Nail Polish

4. Kae Beaute Scintillante – Glittering Skincare with Argan Oil 50ml

5. Trilogy Travellers

6. Balm Balm Mini Organic Facial Kit

Make her some delicious raw vegan brownies or some Carob Freezer Fudge.

Treat your Mum to the gorgeous Day Spa at Aloka Brighton where they use chemical-free AEOS. Read my review of this wonder stuff here.

Tiny Devotions Mala Beads make a lovely thoughtful gift and there is plenty of choice with an array of colours and styles.

What are you buying your Mum this Mother’s Day?

The picture/saying is great- the older I get the more I realize how similar I am to my mom and I am proud of it! I am taking my mom to dinner at an organic restaraunt/juice bar that I located near by and I think I am going to also get her some Glass Dharma glass straws (she was extremely jealous when she saw mine!).
