I’ve decided to introduce a new segment to the blog called “Meaningful Monday” where each week I will share with you an image, picture or quote or just something that I want to discuss in order to prompt you to think about life, your soul purpose or just spin a different perpective on things. I find that it’s so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day doing that “being” takes second place. So this segment will act as a reminder to take a back seat from doing, connect with your higher self and have an awareness that you are so much more than what you think you are. Well that’s the plan anyway….let’s see how it pans out!
I think this is such an important reminder to consciously ensure that we are doing what we love as much as possible. Lying in bed for a month while I was ill, I had a lot of time to think about what it is that I love and how I want to spend the majority of my time. I am very fortunate that I have now managed to carve out a career that I love which allows me to connect with people all over the world who have similar beliefs, outlooks and desires for themselves as I do. BUT there are definitely still some things on my list that I want to get around to doing and acheiving
After spending almost 10 years working in jobs that really didn’t fulfill me or give me any sense of satisfaction, I am a great believer in just doing what you want. After all, life is far too short to spend it unhappy or dreading having to do a job or something that you don’t enjoy.
So for Meaningful Monday today, I would like to encourage you to really think about what you love, make a list of all the things that you have been meaning to do for ages (because I know there will be a few on your list if you’re half-human!) and make a plan to do it as soon as possible!
DO IT NOW! WHY WAIT?
Here are some prompts to get you thinking about what you might have had on your list at some point….
1. Is there a holiday destination you have been longing to visit? Bora Bora, Bahamas, Bermuda, Hawaii, Peru?
2. Is there a hobby or exercise you have been meaning to start? Photography? Horse riding? Yoga? Salsa? Pole dancing?!
3. Fancy changing that job? Get online and find yourself something new or maybe think about starting your own business?
4. If you had 5 imaginary lives, what would you do with them? Be a cowgirl/cowboy, a popstar, dancer, actress, writer, health coach?
