Competition time – win CoYo yoghurt

by Polly N on February 25, 2013

UPDATE: I am reposting this because no one won the competition that was originally set so I’m giving you another opportunity to win a big bag of delicious CO YO yoghurt! See below for details on how to win.

I’ve been wanting to experiment making coconut yoghurt for a while now but to be honest, finding coconuts where I live in Cambridge is tricky. I have to go into town, park up, and scour the Chinese supermarkets and more often than not, it’s a wasted journey. I really like yoghurt but for the last few years, I’ve stayed away from eating it to avoid the nastiness that comes from cows products. If you’re not familiar with what those nasties are, check this out. So, I was DELIGHTED when I discovered Co Yo a few weeks ago when I was giving a keynote at Whole Foods Camden.

Co Yo is a company that produces dairy-free, soya-free, gluten-free vegan yoghurt from coconut and it is delicious! I used up all the yoghurt they sent me to try before I had a chance to photograph it for this post…(oops! Naughty me.) So I went and bought a whole load more and now my fridge is fully stocked. I eat it on its own or with homemade grawnola, or throw it in the blender to make a smoothie with some fruit. Amazing and SO QUICK. If you haven’t tried it, I urge you to! It’s available in various flavours; chocolate, mixed berry, mango, pineapple and original. Use this page to find out where it’s stocked near you.

Co Yo have very kindly offered to give away a CoYo branded cool bag full of the lovely stuff. So to be eligible to win, here’s what you must do;

1. Tell me in the comments below why you would like to win the bag full of Co Yo.

Note: You must be signed up to my newsletter. If you’re not already, just click the link and enter your details.

Good luck! The lucky winner will be announced 24th March.

I have so far NEVER come across a thai young coconut in Brighton and I HAVE TRIED. It is the holy grail eh?! Let’s import them or buy a field, tent it and create a tropical paradise precisely for growing these babies, in fact I’m open to moving to thailand.

I tried this for the first time yesterday when my sister gave me a taste of hers. It was yummy, yummy, yummy! I don’t usually have yoghurt because of the dairy. Please may I have some more?

I would love to win this prize as there is no Wholefoods near me and it would be great to try this amazing product! :)

Yes please Polly I would love to win a bag full of these beauties . Since doing the 24 hr go raw day with you some time ago I’ve become much more mindful of what I eat and being a mum of 4 also of what my kids eat . You recommended this product a couple of weeks ago so I promptly went out and bought some … I no longer eat diary so these are a dream for me , my kids like yogurt and it is a challenge to be too strict with the kids as they want what their friends are having but my younger two and their friend who came home for tea ate my Non diary full go goodness CoYo yogurts and loved them … now I need to restock the fridge.

Living in darkest Kent I cannot get my hands on young coconuts either! I would love to get my hands on these to give to my sons who have dairy allergies (and asthma and eczema) and have to miss out on lots of treats now that I’ve discovered soya products are pretty poisonous. I signed up to your newsletter ages ago Polly so I can’t sign up again for the purposes of this competition!! 😉

I am a Healthy Eating Cookery Club Tutor for the NHS – I would love to try and to share the yogurts and spread the word. Kimxxx

Hi Polly! I would LOVE to win a bag full of Co Yo because when I gave up dairy I moved to soy yoghurt… thinking I was making the right choice! Now after much reading and research I don’t eat any soy but am missing yoghurt. I would love to try Co Yo to fill the yoghurty void in my life :-)

I would love to win the CO Yo because I am just learning about the benefits of coconut and coconut water and coconut yogurt and would really like to introduce it in my diet. I am a 2 time cancer survivor and am totally changing my food lifestyle and feel great. Thanks for the inspiration! April

Hi Polly! With all the worry about dairy and soy products both in their content and in how they are produced, this pure and nutritious Co Yo yoghurt sounds the perfect healthy and cruelty-free choice.

I really really want to try this Coyo yogurt because it sounds amazing!
I’m so passionate about healthy eating and while caring for my Late Mother who sadly passed away after a long battle with Bowel Cancer I would be on the internet day and night researching and mostly on your website.
Whenever I hear of someone whos going through Cancer I always tell them about your website. Your book is truly amazing it helped me and my Mum soooo much. xxx

Trying to think of something jazzy to say to impress, but I can’t. So I will just be me. Last July I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata. Instead of feeling sorry for myself I began to pick away at my diet and eliminate food that didn’t nourish my body. I have never heard of Co Yo and am intrigued by this product and woud quite simply like to try it.

Love and Light

Hi Polly,

I would love a chance to win some CoYo yoghurt. I have been juicing and generally enjoying a healthier diet since Spring last year but fell off the wagon a little recently, and boy have I seen/felt the rubbish effects of all the dairy I have been consuming. I would love to try this great alternative!
Thanks for the chance to win! xx

Hey Polly
I would love to win the Co-Yo prize. After a cancer diagnosis two years ago I gave up dairy and crave the creaminess of a yogurt or ice cream – can you freeze them!
It’s my birthday on the 24th so it would make my day!

polly March 26, 2013 at 2:26 pm

Hi Jo! Congratulations! You’re the winner ;o) Please send your postal address to

Claudia March 22, 2013 at 3:12 pm

Hi Polly,
I ditched dairy more than 2 years ago – which was not easy being brought up on a German diet eating dairy stuff at least 4 times a day. Would love to try Co Yo for those moments when longing for silky smooth textured treats!
