For those of you wishing to make some treats for your partner for Valentines Day then look no further for I have been enjoying being back in the kitchen, experimenting, making, tasting and all that good stuff. (I also have a new project underway which I am REALLY excited about but I’ll tell you more about that soon…it’s not completely ready yet..) So without further a do, may I present to you…”Raspberry Chocolate Hearts”. I will give you a heads up that I used free-dried raspberries which I had had in my cupboard for a while so I decided to crack that baby open and combine it with my delicious chocolate recipe but if you don’t want to use freeze-dried raspberries which you can buy from Healthy Supplies online, that’s absolutely fine as the chocolate on its own is good enough. I’m posting this early so you have a chance to buy ingredients in if need be…
- 1/2 cup melted cacao butter
- 1/2 cup cacao powder
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- Pinch sea salt
- 1 tablespoon raspberry powder (freeze-dried raspberries ground to a fine powder)*
- 1/2 cup freeze-dried raspberries (freeze-dried raspberries in broken form) *
In a bowl or mixing jug, combine all ingredients and stir thoroughly to ensure there are no lumps apart from the raspberries of course. Pour the mixture into heart shaped moulds and place in the freezer to set.
*I buy these from Healthy Supplies.
Don’t forget I’m running some live food classes soon! Check them out here.
